We offer students in Yr 8-Yr 13: Ages 11-18
· a safe structured learning environment that encourages trust between staff and students
· a supportive therapeutic environment tailored to individual need
· links to outside agencies to support individual need in a co-operative and positive way both at school and the home situation
· engagement in the planning of their own academic and behavioural targets
· the chance to engage with the local community through sporting and social activities linked to the curriculum
· opportunities to develop socially, physically and with increasing confidence
· a high level of adult support in small learning groups
· daily opportunities for 1 to 1 tuition
· closely monitored and assessed Individual Educational Programmes , reviewed weekly against personalised targets, individually set, linked to their statement of Special Educational Needs
· a reward system based on academic and behavioural targets
· the opportunity to engage positively in the Every Child Matters Agenda
· positive links with outside agencies , such as Connexions, to encourage re-integration into mainstream and further education and training.
